"I called the agency to ask why I received an email saying my policy was cancelled. I had the unfortunate experience of talking to Tawney, the Office Manager, who was rude, condescending, and unprofessional to the point she was arguing and talking over me. She told me "she didn't have time" and would call me later. She then hung up on me. I tried to call State Farm's corporate number but was rerouted each time, so after 3 failed attempts, I called an agent in my area who called State Farm's Underwriting Dept. for me. She found out "why" and fixed it within a few minutes. My experience with Tawney, the Office Manager, employed by Jillian McCormick's office, was a "giant red flag" about this insurance agency, so I'm taking my business elsewhere. After my conversation with Tawney, I don't trust that if something does happen and I have to file a claim, they'll handle it properly or that I have the coverage I'm paying for. This has the potential of destroying someone financially, involving them in costly lawsuits, subjecting them to expensive court costs, fines and criminal prosecution, and jeopardizing their driver's license and their freedom. I'm moving my business to the agency that, despite me not yet being a customer, DID "have the time" to make a call, answer my questions and remedy the problem while being polite, knowledgeable and helpful. I hope Jillian McCormick realizes her Office Manager, Tawney, cost Jillian McCormick's agency more than one auto policy today because of her behavior. In the next few months I'll be adding insurance for two more vehicles, an Umbrella Policy for personal and business coverage, and insurance for a large rental property I'm buying. Instead of Jillian McCormick's agency getting those policies, the agency I'm transferring to, who took the time to help me, will. This is a classic example of how to push customers away, ruin a business' reputation, lose money and why businesses fail. If you can't provide basic customer service to people who pay you and keep your business open, you really shouldn't be in business. I'm writing this review as a warning to other potential customers so you know what to expect if you buy insurance through them. ***UPDATE*** No one, not Tawney, Morgaen Grimes who is the agent I was working with, or anyone else, had the courtesy to call me back. Buyer beware. Jilian McCormick doesn't seem to have standards or integrity and employs unethical people who do what they want without consequences, and this will effect you if you buy insurance through her. There are reputable State Farm agencies all over Ohio. I would suggest you give them your money instead of Jillian McCormick and Co."
"Hi Tanya--I sincerely apologize for your frustration. When you called in and spoke with Tawney, she said that she needed to call our billing department and figure out what was going on with your account. Sometimes we do have to contact our corporate partners to get more information and figure out what is going on. We didn't give you a call back yesterday because you hung up on us 3 different times and we got notification that you reached out to the other office. We would have absolutely given you a call back same day, but we just didn't have an answer for you that very moment. It doesn't look like a transfer has been requested, if you would like to move your policies to the other office, please let us know. I hate losing your auto policy and all of your policies down the road. Please reach out to us via email or call into the office if you have questions or need anything else. Your business does mean a lot to us and I am sorry you didn't feel that yesterday."
